New Attitude conference for young adults
Greetings!
I'm writing to send you information about a conference for young adults in your area that we pray will serve you. The conference is called New Attitude and it is hosted by best-selling author and pastor Joshua Harris, though the conferencing department of PDI Ministries. If you are familiar with his books on relationships (I Kissed Dating Goodbye, Boy Meets Girl), you may be saying to yourself, "Hey, isn't this the dating guy? Do we need another conference about that?!" Maybe not, but that's not the point of New Attitude.
It's not dating, it's not courting ... it's the glory of Christ!
Josh actually began this conference four years ago, shortly after he published his first book and moved to serve on the staff of PDI's Covenant Life Church in Gaithersburg, MD. As he recalls: "I'd caught a passion for the glory of Christ and the local church from my new senior pastor, C.J. Mahaney, and I wanted to impart that to my generation. In fact, it's precisely because I value the preservation of relationships in the local church that I began to write about a new approach to romance. But the New Attitude conferences are about the bigger picture -- a vision to gather my generation together so that we can give our full attention to our Creator and Redeemer for four days at the beginning of a new year. I want to refresh groups from various local churches, and return them to serve their churches with increased fervor."
New Attitude 2002 will be in Louisville, KY, from January 3 to 6. These four days will feature a series of solid messages, ardent worship, personal application through small group discussions, and plenty of time for coffee and fellowship. This year, both C.J. and Josh will be speaking, as well as special guests Mark Dever (senior pastor of Capitol Hill Baptist Church and author of Nine Marks of A Healthy Church) and Randy Alcorn (best-selling author of numerous books and founder of Eternal Perspectives Ministries).

If your church is interested in sending a group of 18-29 year olds, please know that the pastors and spouses who accompany the group will be our guests -- we will waive their registration fees.
